The State of the State of STEM in Afterschool in Wyoming: The interactive tool was first compiled in the summer of 2018 to tell the story of STEM education in afterschool programs in communities across the Cowboy State. The data maps help to show the current landscape of programming, identify geographic and programmatic areas for targeted support, and identify programs with expertise that can be shared with others. For providers, the maps can provide a sense of what STEM content areas, curricula, data tools, and funding sources others are using, and who they might reach out to with questions about any of these items. WYAA would like to thank the afterschool programs who took time to provide data. This project was supported by the John P. Ellbogen Foundation.

How to Use the Map: Download a map interface overview graphic. Click here. Each map (or view) includes individual afterschool programs as orange circles. When users click on one of these circles, information about the corresponding program will appear in a sidebar. Each view shows programs clustered by (connected by lines to) a particular attribute such as the STEM curricula they indicated they offer. In addition, views may contain filters that enable users to show only a subset of programs based on a particular factor such as the community(ies) they serve.
