Jackson Hole Children’s Museum: Virtual Art Hour
Jump into a Virtual Art Hour with the Jackson Hole Children’s Museum! Visit www.jhchildrensmuseum.org to explore all of the arts options along with great STEM activities and challenges to inspire creativity! At the Jackson Hole Children’s Museum, we are all about connection. In all of our programs, we encourage children to connect through play, by asking questions, working with and learning from others, and trying new things. During this time of social distancing, and isolation, we wanted to continue to create a space for children and families to connect, virtually. And poof, our online virtual programming calendar was developed. Our educators will provide weekly activities rooted in creative-thinking, science, engineering, design, literacy and/or art. They will provide a full material list, project description and a link video demonstration so that families can follow along at home. One of the activities is “Draw Every Day with JJK.”
Puffy Sidewalk Paint
We’ve been seeing more sidewalk art around Wyoming. Lights On Afterschool HSCSD #1 shared a recipe that puts a twist on the classic sticks of chalk. Their puffy sidewalk paint features just a few ingredients that you may already have at home. Find it on Facebook.
#WyKidsExpress
WYAA is hosting a campaign to celebrate the creativity of Wyoming’s kids using #WYKidsExpress. Do you know kids that are expressing themselves through science experiments or sidewalk art? Share their creations using #WyKidsExpress!
Mission: We bridge the gap between Wyoming’s out-of-school programs and the communities they uplift, fueling them with resources, support and opportunities that inspire lifelong learning, growth and connection.
