Destination Postcard
Elevate Youth Voice with The Destination Postcard Activity
It’s important for adults to hear from young people about what they hope for and need.
The Wyoming Enrichment Network in partnership with 2Revolutions have worked to develop an activity that helps to reflect young people’s perspectives about their most meaningful learning. This activity has been a part of the governor’s RIDE initiative and Superintendent Degenfelder’s Wyoming’s Future of Learning Initiative. It seeks to harvest authentic perspectives from youth around Wyoming and invites them to reflect on where their best learning happens.
With 25 minutes and three simple questions, young people can make meaningful contributions by sharing what they hope for and need.

- The ideas will inform efforts to improve education in Wyoming.
- We’ll use your feedback to improve this activity for others.
3. Share the Prompt
Invite each student to write a message on their postcard, responding to one of the following adapted questions💡based on student feedback:
- What is something you wish you were learning?
- What can adults do to help you learn best?
- How do you want to make your community better—and what do you need from adults to do it?
Give students about 10 minutes to reflect and write.
4. Collect Postcards
- Thank students for their thoughtfulness.
- Let them know their voices will help shape learning across Wyoming.

Mission: We bridge the gap between Wyoming’s out-of-school programs and the communities they uplift, fueling them with resources, support and opportunities that inspire lifelong learning, growth and connection.
